명칭자체는 혼다만의 특징이다.바로 VTEC이다. 평상시 점잖게 운행하다 헐크처럼 변하는 엔진이다. 이때 엔진오일 통로를 바꾸어주는 벨브가 바로 VTEC 로커암 스풀벨브이다. 오래되면 누유가 있으니 가스켓만 교환해준다.
